Animal shelter becomes no-kill with expansion project

Barks and meows echo through the tiny space that is the Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center. An upcoming expansion in the spring will allow the center to house more animals. The $420,000 project is being funded by Staunton, Augusta and Waynesboro. The regional pound services the Staunton, Augusta and Waynesboro areas and relies on all three localities for funding.
