Assist with the care of animals and grounds maintenance of the Shenandoah Valley Animal Care Facility. Duties include cleaning the shelter, pens, and cages; feed and water animals, provide bathing and exercising of animals as needed; and with maintenance of facility grounds. Experience with animals in a shelter environment preferred Must have a good knowledge of and interest in dogs, cats, and other animals; knowledge of the safe handling and humane methods of feeding and transferring animals, ability to follow oral and written instructions, and the ability to work effectively with coworkers and the public. Average 20 hours per week which will include some evenings, weekend, and/or holiday hours. Any combination and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and experience in working with and caring for animals preferred. Must possess a valid driver’s license. $12/HR
